Ashford has the wheels and is electric. I genuinely want him to battle next year for the QB spot. He needs to improve his accuracy. If he loses he needs to go to WR because we are thin…everywhere.

He needs to go to the baseball field.

Yes. A good Oline that lets him set his feet would go a long way in that.

Worst I’ve felt since FSU cship game. We win other than a stupid frick call to squib a kick. So stupid.

We will see next year. He is too run first to even imagine what he will be like inside a pocket.

90% of the time he drops back you can tell he wants to pull it and run first. He miss a couple of wide open deep balls because he wanted to run first

Your boy looks like a different QB with an Oline this season. All we saw for 3 years was him bailing. It matters when you can actually trust your Oline and keep your eyes downfield.

Exactly, he needs to battle to be QB next year and if he wins so be it. But the learning curve will continue. If a slightly better QB beats him out we can hopefully gain Ashford at another position that requires less learning curve.

Just thinking out loud I doubt Kiffin uses him if he doesn’t have to. He wanted nothing to do with Plumlee and was fine with maturing Corral. Freeze would work with Ashford no problem.

Yeah, but even then Nix was still 61% completion percentage, throw aways and all. Ashford is even less refined than that.

Not only that, Ashford apparently didn’t flourish there either if he was so lowly regarded there.

I don’t know if Ashford will improve or not, but the Oline is by far the main issue on offense. Has been for years now. Whoever the next coach is has to stop the bleeding. It’s unreal how many times guys come running in untouched.

That is because he is a running back, playing quarterback. He is not a QB.

I'm just impressed that adjustments were made at halftime for the 1st time all season
