Hmm…not a lot of faith by the college football faithfuls in Ole Miss coming into Tiger Stadium. Is everyone finally recognizing the improvements that Brian Kelly and this team are making? Or are they acknowledging that Rebs #7 ranking is the fakest #7 ever given the schedule they’ve played thus far?

In the swamp.

As opposed to Ole Miss beating, let's see. . .
Troy
Central Arkansas
GA tech
Tulsa
UK
Vandy
Auburn

Man. . . that's a juggernaut of a schedule!

Is your schedule a gauntlet?

You lost to a pretty good Florida State team (don't look now, they've lost three straight games).
You beat a pretty good Mississippi State team.
You beat a poor Auburn team.
You got smoked by a good Tennessee team.
You beat a poor Florida team (who is dead last in 3rd down defense, 131/131).

Your time is coming, Tiger.

Hence we are UNRANKED numbnuts. Not #7. Still doesn't answer why Ole Miss is the underdog in this game.

Because Las Vegas loves making money off idiots who do not watch football but heard of the name LSU a few years back when they were good

The goal of LV is to push. They move the odds based on betting.

Not just Vegas. 4 of 5 CBS pickers also picked LSU (Neuheisel the only one who picked OM)

All about the perception that LSU is a better program across the country, people are dumb and Vegas knows how to weed the $ out

No, the goal of Vegas is to accurately predict the final score, or so I'm told.

Ole Miss is worried and everyone knows it. They have a ton to lose and LSU.... not so much. Dangerous situation for the bear sharks.

This is true. I hope the Rebs don't play tight. Fortunately, we possess the best antidote for a nervous football team: a strong running game.

Houston Nutt and his unranked 2009 team were favored vs #8 LSU and covered. Nice thread.
