Was Kerryon’s injury the most costly for us in recent memory?

Have to think we have a great shot at beating UGA for the conference if KJ was healthy.

Very hard to beat the same team twice in such a big setting. Rarely happens.

The GOAT couldn’t even do it

I’d argue kerryon and pettway was one of the best duos we’ve had in 20 years.

Caddy, Ronnie the other.

Rudi Johnson & Brandon Jacobs want a word with you

They weren’t on the same roster… Jacobs played with Ronnie and Caddy and formed the 4 horsemen with Tre Smith

I am drawing a blank on name, but our MLB was also injured same time as KJ. Just as damaging

That’s not saying a whole lot then. Pettway was overrated AF

Completely disagree. He was a huge RB wrecking ball that was hard to bring down, and an excellent compliment to the agile KJ.

I agree with Jang. He was good in short yardage situations but had no vision or agility.

That being said, they weren’t really a duo at all in 2017. Pettway was hurt for over the half the season. Think he played in 3 or 4 games IIRC

I have a lot of respect for Kerryon, but to compare him and Pettway to Caddy and Brown is a Beatles\Monkeys type debate

I think Kerryon is in the Ronnie tier of AU greats. Caddy was tier 1 though.

Pettway was great against the pitiful teams that Gus feasted on. Thanks for mentioning his agility because the announcers loved gushing about it but I never saw it.

Lastly, he ended up banned from the program. He was a 4 game wonder.

Double lastly, Peyton Barber was a teammate that actually had a good NFL career.

Bo and Fullwood are in tier 1. Any tier caddy is in Ronnie Brown is right next to him

As someone else said, it’s hard to beat the same team twice. Especially a talented team like UGA. I have to think though with the way we handled them the first time and the way we handled Alabama with a healthy KJ, that we would’ve had a damn good shot to beat UGA again. KJ is one of my favorite Tigers in recent memory along with Nick Marshall.

Strictly in terms of net wins/losses, Nix last season was about as big an injury as we have ever had. I do think a healthy KJ could have changed things a bit in 2017 SECCG though but that Georgia team was really danged good

Hammering Pettway made Lashlee look like a genius because that four or five game stretch occurred after Malzahn gave up the playbook and my oh my the Arkansas’s and Ole Missses were slayed. Chex loved him Sean White too.
