Tom Petty picked up trash on campus to make extra money. He fled to LA ASAP.

Tom Petty cut grass at UF for a summer as an employee. He was born in Gainesville. Prior to his death in 2017 he was never associated with UF in any real way. They decided to invent a “tradition” after his death and here we are.

The Tom Petty thing is strange but whatever do what makes you happy. The fact that they get so offended over bands playing over Tom Petty songs makes it so fricking weird
