I took a stab at trying to create the future schedules using the 3/6 model.. lol it’s a freaking nightmare trying to keep some balance amongst all the schedules for all 16 teams.

Here is what I put together for Alabama.

Everyone will play the same 30 out of 36 games over 4 years.. which is kinda cool imo.

15 opponents x 2 games each = 30
3 perm opponents x 2 extra games = 6

I set it up as follows for each year:
1) GA or AL
2) AU or FL
3) TX or OU
4) A&M or LSU
5) OM or MS
6) AR or MO
7) TN or KY
8) SC or V

It will be interesting to see how they set them up. Will they load some years to be harder, and some easier, or try to keep some balance.

Yes, too long.. but I found it interesting. Lmk if anyone is interested in their teams same schedule and i’ll put it up. Like I said, they are all very similar with the way I set it up.

Here's the thing. Over the past 15 years the LSU/Bama game has been great for tv ratings. There is a reason CBS aired it prime time so many years. Disney is paying a lot of money, and will have clout in these decisions. That's just how the world works. I don't know, but I am willing to bet that the mouse would want to keep Bama/LSU every year.

Why would Mississippi State be a permanent opponent?

As long as Texas and A&M play each other every year. We all want to see that.
