I didn't like what I heard from Sam Pittman's post game.

His answer to the question on the lack of pass rush
The answer was we ran the same defense for last 2 years and looked lost in giving the response. It's almost like they did not prepare for anything that Ms St had done this year.
He went on to say that he did not expect MS St to be able to run like they did with a single back set. "You know we were ready for 2 to 3 yard runs, but naw they were 7 you know." LINK
What??
He also stated because Slusher was out they could not blitz?
The over all tone from him in that presser is not what you normally see out of him. Am I off with that?

He's ready to be just a coordinator again. HC is too much for him.

It’s almost like you don’t hire a career position coach at 60 years old to be your head coach

Haha. Apparently they did not watch any film on State this year.

His whole tone was just off.
I have no doubt that he is feeling it. They have lost 3 in a row. But I wonder if he thought that this team was better than it is and he's second guessing himself.
Just not a great feel from that presser.

Besides Fulmer, every position coach hired for head coach positions at Tennessee have been a total disaster. Way too much of a risk to do again if Heupel ever leaves. Nk thanks. Given me a proven up and coming head coach and preferably one who is offensively minded.

He is facing some adversity but something is up with this team besides the injuries. I would imagine it's a leadership issue. We lost a lot of strong leaders in the locker room from last year.
Snagging a win @BYU and going into a bye with some momentum is a must for this team. Otherwise we will struggle to get to a bowl game.

Maybe so. I just know I like Pittman so I watch him and this seemed way off for him.

Arkansas leads the SEC in sacks. We changed our OL several weeks ago, they are not allowing sacks OR pressure on Rogers. We pick up blitzes well, too.
