Just watched the highlights, if we put that much effort into running the ball,

We’re gonna skull frick Tennessee into submission with that stretch draw with Robinson. It’s gonna happen. I think we’ll rush for over 250 against them.

Let's get past Vanderbilt first. Don't forget... Vandy has beaten UGA more recently than Tennessee has.

Pretty sure Vandy and Tenner have the same winning % s UGA the last 10 years.

That 2013, 11:00 am game at Vandy with the bs targeting will never be ok.

Tenner can wait. Frick Vandy.

Vandy is 3-3 and had a 10-point lead at one point on Ole Miss.

Don’t forget how we played at Missouri last week. If we don’t play well Saturday, Vandy’s good enough to at least do what Mizzou did.

Against Ramik Wilson if I recall correctly.

But Vanderbilt beat us in 2016, Kirby's first year. A couple weeks after Tenn beat us with the Hail Mary.

Technically, factually, Vanderbilt has beaten Georgia more recently than Tennessee has.

I want to worry about Tennessee when it''s time to worry about Tennessee. Right now, it is time to play Vanderbilt, then have a much needed bye week, then beat the shite out of Florida, then worry about Tennessee. Don't let those shite eating hobos trick you into talking shite about them yet on the SEC Rant prematurely. Our time will come.

There were two targeting in that game. Ray Drew was first. Reminder back then targeting was an ejection.

They then called it on Ramik 2nd half but somehow reversed the ejection but left the penalty..which wasn’t even a thing. LINK

Fans were pissed. It was a misty rain. I’m still pissed. Vandy got a first down on the last one and scored 17 in the 4th qtr. Ruined a suite at Luke Bryan that night.

That’s how the tile used to be. They changed it for 2014.

Yup. On fourth down and the targeting call was overturned, but Vandy still got the penalty yards and conversion. It didn't' help we only had 200 yards of offense and three turnover.

That game was such bullshite.
We had a LOT of injuries that day too.
After those targeting calls the Georgia crowd got belligerent. We Boo’ed everything. They brought out some kids from the Vanderbilt swim team and gave them an award and we boo’ed them too. I believe that was when the rule was targeting or not the 15 yard penalty stood.

the defense was trash but I alwasy wonder how far that 2013 could've gone if healthy. We saw flashes of it by beating two top-6 teams in the first month, but man I've never seen injuires kill a season like it did with that one especially on offense.

-Malcolm mitchell was lost for the year in the opener
-Todd Gurley looked like a heisman front runner before getting hurt against LSu and was out til november
-In knoxville we lost keith marshall, michael bennett, and justin scott wesley
-Against vandy we lost chris conley late in the game

that glued together offense was a stud QB handing off to jj green and brendan douglas and thrwing to rantavious wooten. Still can't believe murray single handedly carried us to victoy in knoxville that year.

2013 was maybe the most wtf years. The injuries, OT games, close games.

Certainly the best 8-5 team we ever had.

Screw Vandy.

That was how MiZzzou got their lone win against us, IIRC. I don't want to beat the injuries drum like Bama, but we didn't have the top shelf recruiting to call for the Next Man Up like we do now.

According to NCAA.com Team Stats, The Vols are one spot above us in rushing defensive YPG at 89. However, their pass defense is ranked 128th nationally giving up 307 YPG. With AD back and our tight ends creating mismatches, I think we throw the the ball. When Tenner drops the safeties and tries to use the linebackers to cover the tight ends, we run the ball right down their throats for chunk yards. Our total defense ranking is 8th theirs is 87th.
