At least Gary talks football. You never know what topic the C teams that do the SEC games on ESPN will talk about during the game. They ignore the plays to finish their stupid stories. (usually about something that happened to them when they played)

The guy's the most knowledgeable, insightful analyst doing college football today. A lot of people don't like him because they don't actually know the game, so he talks over their heads. His "homework" before a game is impeccable, and he often calls a play successfully from the line of scrimmage, and his explanations of actions on the field are spot on.
A lot of folks don't like any analyst/announcer that pays compliments to a player, or team if their team is getting its arse kicked by said team, or player!
