Which Saban led bama team was the worst besides 2019?

2010? That team wasn’t very talented in the backfield. There’s been a lot of years that bama has been handicapped and couldn’t win.

2007* was just as crazy as 2020*

07
14
10
Imo
fricking Trey Depriest and Adrian Hubbard didn’t belong on the field
If they were on, 10 beats the breaks off both those teams. 2010 had Ingram, Richardson, and Lacy in the backfield btw the frick you mean not talented?

Your premise makes no sense. Bama was loaded in 2019.

2007 obviously
2014
2019 was loaded on offense and atrociously young in the front 7 on defense between the DL and the 2 true freshmen at ILB. Worst run defense since 2007 and had trouble stopping even pedestrian offenses.
Rush YPA Def
2017 - 2.72 (#1)
2018 - 3.53 (#21)
2019 - 3.82 (#43)
2020 - 3.33 (#13)
2021 - 2.66 (#4)
2022 - 1.84 (#3)

Summer of George I respect ya. I think it’s gonna be a three game round robing between LSU-UT-bama

He said 2007 because it was Saban's first year and he didn't have a full recruiting season. It was a 7-6 team, his only <10 win season at Bama and clearly the worst Saban team. Had nothing to do with anything else. Don't be so froggy and jump so quickly. Slow your roll and bait us into conversation before you attack. Don't blow your wad right away.

A ton of talent on the defense too. Davis would have been a senior at DT. Diggs, Surtain, McKinney in the secondary. Lewis (very good when healthy) at LB, Jennings at LB as a Sr.

Last years team overachieved in spite of poor OL play but it wasn’t a great team without Jameson Williams and Metchie. We learned that they masked a lot of deficiencies. This years OL has not been good but they seem to be improving. Time will tell but if they don’t figure it out soon I see a couple of losses coming. 2010 team was very talented but they didn’t know how to handle success of previous year the same as LSU 2004 team. That team was loaded and underachieved.

Raekwon had a terrible year with nagging injuries and Lewis was basically a pass rusher.
Basically our entire current DL (Dale, Eboigbe, Young) plus a super raw Barmore played the majority of minutes up front with Davis, and Shane Lee and a barely knew where to lineup raw Christian Harris played ILB after McMillon and Moses were lost for the year.
The secondary had good players, but you can't win if every run gets 4-5 yards. Which they did.
That team still probably goes 11-1 and goes to the playoff if Tua doesn't get hurt at State, but it would have lost the same game to LSU (or to Clemson) if it had. The holes up front on defense were way too big to slow down a really good offense.

Revisionist history from Bama fans. Tide was #1 in the country, had destroyed everyone. Bama fans were saying Tua should win the Heisman and might be the best team ever. Then they faced the juggernaut.

2018? Yes, that was said. And Tua should have won the Heisman. We beat everyone like an absolute drum up until the SECCG. Tua threw like 9 4th qtr passes in the regular season.
2019? We gave up 460 yards to South Carolina. 480 to Ole Miss. Almost 400 to A&M.
I think we all thought we could beat LSU if we stole a couple stops, but absolutely nobody outside of insane bammers thought that was the best team ever going into LSU

One loss to LSU and Bama fans switched their tune from “best team ever” to Bama’s “worst team under Saban.”
