Other than the croom years we have been pretty solid imo. Definitely not the hardest to win at but it is easy to crash and burn if we don’t make competent coaching hires. We won’t win 7-8 games on talent alone like some other schools. OM, State, Kentucky, Carolina are all similar. Bad coach- suck really bad. Good coach- win 6-10 games consistently

That is a fair observation. The last three years under Sherrill and the first three years under were really bad. Our record those six years was 17-52.
Really bad. I know you can’t eliminate those seasons but the other 25 seasons our overall record is
171-122. Not bad. Basically 7-5 each year with an occasional big season and an off year here and there.

We are certainly not a pushover for anybody anymore. Nobody outside Bama can circle the State game as an automatic win these days.
