I was out of town at a relative's house and we flipped on the game for a bit. After it got to 24-6 in the 3rd quarter, I decided to hit the road and go home (2 hour drive). I didn't check my phone while driving. I was hoping AU might come back in the 4th and at least make it respectable.

But, behold, I get home and learn the final score was 41-12.

I honestly don't see how Harsin survives this. Auburn was at home, had a huge crowd and perfect weather. Crowd and atmosphere looked great on TV. And yet we get blown the frick out by a pretty decent (but not great) Penn state.

But here's the bottom line: AU should never lose by 30 points AT HOME. Who was the last coach who got blown out badly at JHS? Gene Chizik in 2012. What happened? He was fired.

I held my tongue at the "5-0!"crowd.

I get it. I wanted Harsin to do well. Exceed. Great comeback story against the evil PTB who wanted to drive him out on charges without any evidence

It's storybook in the making.

But damn. He's digging his own grave and not even trying to hide it.
