Jacorey Brooks should not be in the 2nd group at WR. He was on the field when it mattered and made tough catches and got separation on the last 3 crucial drives. Combine that with what he did at Auburn and vs Cincinnati last year along with the ineptitude of the group today, not sure how you can keep him in reserve at this point.

That man has earned being in the 1st 11.

Brooks and Holden should be first string.

His route running isn't the greatest. But he has size, speed, and good hands.

Burton had a bad drop today. Bond dropped a perfect pass. No alpha in that group that I can see, yet. None of these guys have the polish that we got used to seeing from all the studs that came through here. Julio didn't have polish, he was just physically so much better than everyone else. But the guys behind him had elite route running skillsets.

Cooper, Ridley, Jeudy, and Devonta Smith have as good of technique as you will ever see.

And he shows up and makes plays when plays are absolutely required.

Some guys have that. Some don't. He has proven he has it.

If Harrell isn't better I'm guessing we see a lot of Bond the next 2 weeks. He has speed that we desperately need and they clearly like him seeing as he's rotating as a freshman who wasn't even here in the spring.

I agree. He has proven he has the clutch gene. He gives me a lot of Kevin Norwood vibes so far, maybe a higher ceiling.

Christian Leary must be fricking horrendous in practice. Kid has speed to burn and he can't even sniff the field.

Brooks is good, not great. A younger Holden with slightly better speed. Anyone else surprised how absent Burton has been? I really thought he was going to be a monster in this offense. Seems he’s rarely open and dropped a wide open pass today.

I agree. but who do we take out of starting rotation? I think Kobe prentice. He's good, but he's not ready.

I think we have a lot of guys who are really really fast. The problem is we need guys who can block and recognize coverages fast enough to adjust their routes. Prentice made a mistake on a route where he read man instead of zone. That type of shite causes interceptions a lot of times.

But I think this group has as many speedsters as we've ever had.

Play calling is a much bigger problem than speed at any position.

Yep, put Sark or Kiff on our sideline today and we roll them by 21 at least. They scheme people open while butt chin shits in a bucket

Brooks needs to be on field a lot. Burton only had 2 catches... need to get him involved more. Bond is good. prentice needs to get better. What happens when earle and harrell comes back. That's when Things get interesting.

Prentice plays the slot. He took over for Earle when he got hurt. Brooks isn't a slot guy. Burton could maybe move inside but that isn't where they have played him much that I've seen.
