for the classes between 2010 and 2022 that kelly had a part of, ND averaged 11.8 in recruiting. For reference over that same period LSU was 7, Florida was 10.2, Auburn was 10.3, Georgia was 5.6, A&M was 12.1, Alabama was 1.78, and Tennessee was 14.8. Its not true that ND had vastly lower talent levels, there are only 5 SEC schools that averaged higher over Kelly's tenure at ND

~5 spots in recruiting, especially over that time period, is nothing to sniff at.

That’s basically the difference between LSU and Bama.

Hopefully Kelly can do more with the extra talent he inherits and will hopefully continue to land.

Too big picture.

He couldn't get the DB's and WR's that LSU can. You play with the big dogs, you need those kinds of players just as much as linemen.
