If O and Les can both win championships at LSU, then there’s no reason to think LSU won’t compete with Bama for the SEC West every year.
I do think Napier would have been a better fit and maybe a better hire. It’s gonna be strange seeing LSU with a corch that has class.

It's been processed and acknowledged several times.
That doesn't seem to be stopping people from busting in with what they surely believe is a novel thought.

I mean it’s worth mentioning. Easily the two biggest clowns to win a NC in recent memory (besides Dimbo).
It’s put up or shut up for Brian Kelly in terms of his legacy as a coach. Looking forward to seeing what he can scheme up. Same goes for Napier.

He's got a 10 year contract, which means he's got 6 years to show something. At least getting to Atlanta twice in those 6 years is reasonable.

He’s coached 4 places and maxed them all out.

You’re fixin to find out !

It's worth mentioning but not ten times.
I'll say the history rewrite that Les miles was a terrible coach seems like a stretch.

Les was O with a much shorter climb, a slightly extended stay at or near the top, and a slightly less vicious collapse.
He did his best when he let his assistants do their jobs. He failed when he tried to micromanage.

6 years? You’re giving your fellow LSU fans too much credit. If he doesn’t win in 3 years I expect corndog chaos.

He wasn’t but there’s 0% chance he could have won at Notre Dame as much as Brian Kelly did.

Yeah he gets 2 years to rebuild the foundation, by year 3 we need to be back in 10-11 win territory.

The absolute irony of posting this on the SEC Rant

Money. We gave him $100 million.
I'd like to see Atlanta in 2023, but things happen.

Not possible as long as Saban is at Bama. And not likely with Pittman at Ark and Kiffin at Old Miss. I honestly don’t think LSU will seeing Atlanta with Kelly

That’s fair. I honestly think he’ll do well as long as he keeps good defensive minds on the staff.

Losing a fair bit off this years team for 2023, not reasonable to expect that year 2. But if this class holds and they put together another top 5 class next year, we’ll be ready to roll in 2024.
