Basically half of the Southern kids were 3 stars.

Nope, only 5 of them. Versus 3 for Bama. Comparable.

In this randomly selected year Bama got 3 more.

It's not the gulf you want to pretend it is.

In fact, you can look ahead to 2023, ND currently has 12 in southern states or TX/CA and they're all 4 star.

Just a wild guess, but I'm thinking he's a smarter, better coach than Miles and O. With that said, I'm taking a "wait and see" approach. Give him a few years to get things settled.

Leaning more towards winning one championship and losing in the first round in two.

I’d enjoy that three year period

I’ve never claimed it was a gulf

Compare draft picks between LSU and ND over the last few seasons

So there's also the myth that he didn't have the players necessary to beat teams like Pitt or Florida State.

He did not have the athletes to win at the highest level.

But his talent level at Notre Dame was never remotely close to SEC level.

Well that's just not true.

Kelly seems to be taking Jimbo to the woodshed in recruiting currently.

Just go on the record if you think Kelly out recruits Jimbo during his tenure in Baton Rouge. Lolz. You’re delusional, but not THAT delusional.

"What’s the net result of this? Well. I expect him to recruit squarely behind Jimbo, Saban and Kirby and be kind of at the OU/Auburn level of recruiting. With good coaching, this is enough talent to be competitive and with great coaching this is enough talent to even win big. But Kelly doesn’t seem to be some sort of world beater coach. He tends to fall really flat in the big games. O well. It will be fun. But if I had to put money on it, no way he wins a natty. Just too many better things out there.

What a bunch of bullshite!

In watching his games with Bama and UGA I would say he is a gentleman and very gracious in defeat.

So you’re saying the SEC doesn’t actually have an advantage when it comes to talent.

That’s an ice cold take if I’ve ever seen one.
