Walton's business actually started in Newport. Wasn't called Walmart, but that's where he started.

I'm a product of the Delta. The thing that grounded me was that cycle of life. Put seeds in the ground in the spring, nurture the rice and beans along, harvest in the fall. Such a sense of purpose.

I believe it was a Ben Franklin building he purchased using borrowed money.
