Per DawgsHQ on Twitter

While there still won’t be any contact between coaches and recruits allowed due to the off campus nature of the game, both schools – not just the designated home team like Oklahoma and Texas do for their annual neutral site matchup – now will be able to provide tickets for prospects and their families.

We should have been allowing recruits at this game for years. That environment can't be replicated anywhere else.

It isn't the best use of an official visit.

Recruits only get 5. Are they permitted 2 for the same school?

I wouldn't imagine this would be an official visit.

If it is, then no thank you.

It would probably only be used for kids and their parents who have a busy schedule and that is the only weekend available for the visit.

If they are an early signing day, it allows UGA to pick up the travel expenses and tickets to help accommodate the family where they need help.

For any other reason, I would imagine that the official would be a separate weekend for a separate home game.

Aren't they allowed to do this for a regular home game with out it being an official? Or is it just for game tickets?

I'm pretty sure "official visit" is the only time that the program is allowed to provide anything of financial value to a recruit (tickets, travel, hotel, food). And there have been regulations on type of food provided by the university (the joke used to be no cream cheese on the bagel).

My point is that families are "owed" the benefits of an official visit. Sometimes the schedules don't permit an opportunity for a home game and JAX is a financial alternative.
Many years, we only have 6 home weekends available on the schedule. A family with multiple kids in Sports may not be available one of those 6 (with an early signing period in December)
