If what he is saying is true....he has absolutely no reason to resign.

The players are likely all up in their feelings and he's probably being pushed out.

The only reason he would resign in the middle of the night is because he KNEW he fricked up. Today venables said he said the word several times. He probably had a racist outburst cuz he was mad, realized he fricked up, and tried to quit before anyone made it a big deal. Too late.
