Florida and LSU are on the list.
Florida
"The 2021 season disintegrated quickly for Florida. The Gators won 29 games in Dan Mullen’s first three seasons but they completely collapsed midway through last season, leading to his firing. UF subsequently hired Billy Napier from Louisiana and he’s the kind of coach who can quickly stabilize things and get the program on the right track. Oh, and having Anthony Richardson at quarterback helps.
Richardson is one of the most explosive players in the country and a home-run threat on every play. Richardson’s ability can make up for some of the personnel deficiencies Florida may have on other parts of the offense. Defensively, Florida fans are thrilled to move on from the Todd Grantham era. That unit returns a lot of experience, but the line is a concern.
Six of Florida’s first seven games are at home and there are a handful of 50-50 games on this schedule as well. If UF takes care of business in close games, we could certainly look up and see an 8-4 or 9-3 team at the end of the year."
- Sam Cooper
LSU
"Can the Tigers make a bowl game in Brian Kelly’s first season? LSU is in a stacked SEC West and it’s easy to see LSU finishing anywhere from third to seventh in the division. But there are reasons for optimism that LSU could win eight or nine games. Former Arizona State QB Jayden Daniels could start at quarterback and if he doesn’t, then former starter Myles Brennan likely will. Kayshon Boutte and Jaray Jenkins emerged as the latest great LSU receiving duo in 2021 and the defense still has a ton of talent.
The season starts on a Sunday night in Week 1 against a Florida State team also looking for a rebound. Games against Mississippi State and at Auburn in the first five weeks will also give us a good idea whether this Tigers team will be in the basement of the SEC West."
- Nick Bromberg
I am right about this quote from Nick Bromberg "LSU is in a stacked SEC West and it’s easy to see LSU finishing anywhere from third to seventh in the division."
That is why I believe LSU will not be as good as some LSU fans are saying about their team.

I don't know many LSU fans who are expecting a miraculous turn around this year. Probably a 7 or 8 win team. 9 wins is probably the ceiling.

If one guy said the tigers will win 10games, it will get turned into 10000 like a Rant version of the Driveby media.

That isn't what LSU fans were talking about. Kelly will win championships within 3 years. I said nope due to SEC west teams being stack. When Orgeron won it 2019 was the SEC west stack? Nope! Same situation with Les Miles at LSU when he won the championship. If the SEC west teams are strong, then teams will more likely beat each other up.
Then you have Kelly and the coaching staff being new to the SEC and are a step or two behind the other HCs.

Well the first half of the year you guys might catch some teams by surprise bc they don’t know your offense, could start strong, the only thing I noticed of past lsu teams is that the defense starts off slow and gels by mid year, or it felt like that with Ed or Miles teams

For God’s sake. Lame duck Ed O, a train wreck of a coaching staff and half a roster made a bowl game last year.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure BK can get the tigers to one this year.

He may or may not win a championship (conference or national) within three years, but our fans need to give him three years to overcome the shite show Orgeron left behind and start producing results.

Why do these idiots continue to write about TX and USC being better than the season before. Never really happens. Programs suck.

I said Kelly will never win a championship at LSU because SEC west teams are stack.

Kirby, Jimbo, BK, the Michigan State guy aren’t going anywhere, they are on fully guaranteed 10 year contracts, I think all these schools just want consistency at coaching, and are willing to absorb the bad years
In other words, regardless of record, BK will coach at LSU at least 4-6 years no?

If you go back to Miles, Orgeron winning the championship. How were the SEC west teams? They weren't good teams like they are now.

Why are you choosing to focus on LSU? Saban is the only coach in the West to win a championship. LSU as a program has managed to break through and knock Bama off its perch a few times, and that was with two of the biggest morons we could have hired. Why is LSU especially fricked? Is every other team in the West fricked too?

I think it was a good hire, and he is a good coach. This year is a gimme year, and if there isn't major improvement in year 2, then get worried. He came there because he wanted to compete with better athletes and I think his teams from year 2 going forward will be very competitive.

He's trying to troll, just humor him.
He starts this type of thread at least once a week.
It will include some version of muh Freeman has his team rank but LSU is not rank under new coach hired Brian Kelly, I am shocked. Why is this?
This his trope about the SEC being "stack."

Must not be a fan of the suffix.

Not a fan of coherent sentences or Brian Kelly apparently.
quote:
LSU 2023 football recruiting class only got 1 4* recruit so far with new HC Brian Kelly.
Notre Dame 2023 football recruiting class has 2 5* and 7 4* recruits so far.
Notre Dame 2023 Football Commits has been very impressive so far!
What is going on with LSU and Brian Kelly? Notre Dame is doing a much better job recruiting without Kelly being the HC at Notre Dame! I thought he was very good at recruiting top talents to Notre Dame. This is the best class I have seen at Notre Dame and that is without Brian Kelly as the HC
quote:
I couldn't find LSU anywhere from 1 to 25! What going on?! I thought LSU should be ranked but N.D. is up there number 5! Wow! Again, what is going on with Brian Kelly? I thought he would get them up there somewhere.
quote:
I am shocked that LSU isn't ranked in this poll. Florida is ranked at 23! How could that be? Both Florida and LSU hired a new HC and Florida is ranked at 23 and LSU is unranked. I would have thought Kelly would keep most players from leaving since he was supposed to be one of the better HC around. I guess not!

It’s going to take more than one year to rebuild the program. Kelly is changing the whole mentality and will run off a couple more of the selfish guys. Give him time.

The best division in the best conference in football.

No one in their right minds would have thought the first 15-0 CFP season in the SEC would belong to Ed Orgeron.
I could see this LSU team going 7-5 or 10-2. Really all depends on the QB, since our strongest position group is our receivers.
