It worked? USC was named national champs by the AP poll in 2003. They have the trophy in their trophy case. The national media largely refers to them as the champs. You really think the BCS worked?

You definitely strike me as someone who has to be told how and what to think.

Now you're just making shite up. When is the last time someone in the media didn't include Saban's 2003 NC at LSU when they talk about how many he has won? They always give his 2003 team its due. He's got seven now.

Yes, and USC's SOS was woefully lower than LSU's (a BCS criterium). Their one loss was worse than LSU's. USC also beat the #11 team in the Rose Bowl............. #11. LSU beat the #1 team.

13-1 LSU not only won the SEC Title by 3 TDs over homestanding Top 10 Georgia, but they beat #1 Oklahoma in the Sugar/BCSNCG - the same OU team that destroyed everybody in the regular season averaging nearly 60 points per game.
The BCS was the agreed-upon system by all of CFB.
The AP is just the media, an opinion.

Oh, and if the AP was so 'largely referred to by the media' , then the next year, WHY WASN'T USC KNOWN AS THE 2004 """"" A.P.""""" NATIONAL CHAMPS ??????
You know what they were referred to ????????????

THE 2004 BCS NATIONAL CHAMPS.... No mention of the 'A.P.'
