Now imagine you’re a fan of a team that doesn’t regularly compete for national championships and make the same argument. Your logic is flawed and you’re looking at it through the lens of a Bama fan.

I'm looking through the lens of common sense and having been a fan of the sport for many decades. I've lived and been a fan in the poll era, the bcs era and the playoff era.

In other words, "My team doesn't have much history so I'm ok with lobbying for it to be ignored."
