2017 Bama wouldn’t be the national champions under any other system other than a playoff. Was 2017 Bama the best team that year? Yes, because they proved it on the field. No popularity contests or voting, just football.

Hey dumbass, a 4 team playoff isn’t much different than a 2 team playoff which is what the bcs was.

Don't even remotely give a crap. There has never in the history of the playoffs been a #4 team that deserved a shot at the national championship. The #4 team is merely needed to fill in a spot.
It's fine when the #4 team wins it all, they earned it on the field. But to say a system is fricked up because it wouldn't have allowed Alabama(or Ohio St in 2014) to win the national championship is total bullshite. If we had been under the BCS system, it would not have even remotely been an issue that Alabama didn't make it.
Aside from that, history is history, learn to deal with it.

They didn’t even win their division, much less their conference.

How do you think Alabama made the playoffs? They were voted in by a popularity contest.
You can’t possibly be this stupid irl.
