With NIL, what legally separates the Pros from college players? And why can’t the pros return to college if they have eligibility remaining?

Not a whole lot with the transfer portal in college football. At least NFL guys are under contract for X amount of time.
College football is in a state of turmoil at the moment. This is what happens when powerful people talke about shite for 15 years and do nothing. Now it is totally out of their hands.
Not sad for the toothless and worthless NCAA but it sucks for the fans.

A union, collective bargaining, contracts, academic enrollment in a university, the list goes on. The only thing in common is that they both play football and get paid to do it.

You have to admit, the lines are blurred. The definition use to be divided between being amateur and professional: non-paid, vs paid.
Could Jordan Davis argue, that after his career in the NFL, he’d like to return to UGA for one more ring?
