Kids ain’t ruining squat.
The adults are. The kids are taking what they’re being offered and we all would, too.

That’s why it’ll correct itself. These investors are getting nothing in return and will realize that shortly
Especially when they pay a kid, then he transfers the next year

this isn’t a market driven by standard rules of economics. The NIL money is not being given for any sort of monetary return
Boosters giving NIL money should get a return with access to the player. $350k for a 3-4 star DB is ludicrous but I can see 50k to each Olineman but all of them have to appear in commercials or social business events. $50k for a local franchise commercial plus dinners with NIL donors and their favorite clients, seems pretty fair to me and a great opportunity to meet prominent people in your city

i really want to know how the rest of that conversation went
He probably told the coach then that he liked NC so much that he would be willing to take a discounted NIL deal at 325k instead of 350k.

probably wouldn't hurt to implement a rule stating that NIL eligibility starts when you're a sophomore. but that probably goes against SCOTUS's ruling.
How about a structured payment system with caps: a freshman can't get more than X amount, a soph maxes out at 1.5(x), etc. You think that would work? Just throwing out ideas.
