The first domino to fall in this new world order was when the Texas Longhorn Network aired in 2011. Texas then bullied the B12 into dissolving and basically the rest is history. So thanks Texas for fricking everything up for everyone!

Just to expand on this a little, they are also responsible for this latest movement.
Their football program has sucked for a decade. Instead of fixing their internal problems they always look to the outside to fix it. They think joining the SEC will fix it. It won't.
They are the Karen of CFB.
They frick up anything they get around.

Texas ruined the Big Eight. Now we have to pretend to be southern.

If Texas will provide Vandy an extra $15-20 Million per year

I say, Hook'em Horns!

I disagree. I think the massive success of the SEC Network really showed exactly how valuable some college football teams can be. People already knew there was a lot of money in college football, obviously, but I don't think anyone knew exactly how much.

Now, with the TV money being what it is, decisions are being made differently than in the past, and the decisions are being made with much more financial considerations than in the past. Example- in the past, what difference did it make, financially, if you played in the SEC vs ACC? Not much. Now, very much.

The big 10 network came several years before the LHN, and conference realignment isn't even a modern college football thing. That's been going on for decades upon decades. The only thing Texas is responsible for is drama within the Big 12. Everywhere else is just about absorbing programs in TV markets and a battle of network TV deals amongst conferences.

They could have joined this season, but delayed it because their program is in shambles so they need time to buy players.

They also fricked up NiL by paying manning $3mil. Ewers another $1mil and a pink lamborghini.

We warned you.

The LHN was overreach. Having said that, I doubt any other school would have turned their nose up at $15 million per year
