I was at the game sat night so I didnt hear any of the talk about the troubles this kid has been in, what is the deal? Three arrests??? WTF! and still on the team, typical spurrier.

I can't think of what he did off the top of my head, but it was worse then what Perrilloux had done..

No, I don't think it was that bad.

What I enjoyed most was how cocky he was in the first half. Then our defense beat the crap out of him. How he looked at the end of the game was priceless. A total beat down on the kid.

1) he did simple "punk kid" kind of stuff like key someones car.. not test positive for drugs.
2) it was the o-line that killed him the 2nd half... they are God awful and it has been said by many Carolina fans that we need to fire John Hunt (our o-line coach) and that our bad line play has been going on for at least 4 years so something has to change next year.
He didnt do too bad for a RS Freshman in his 1st start.

Underage drinking
Public Drunkeness
He would have been shown the door in Baton Rouge, but Spurrier believes this kid may be his next Danny Wuerful (sp).

underage drinking and public drunk are not bad at all. frick, I had 7 MIP's and a couple public drunks.
The vandalism of a professor's car was bad and probably should not have been forgiven.

RP had the counterfiet thing, and was around Chimes for the little fight or whatever, and he may have yelled a racial slur at the bartender at Kona Grill.
This guy was given a police violation/arrested at least twice before and he was still allowed to play for SC.
1)"According to an incident report from the Columbia Police Department, the 19-year-old quarterback from Florida was approached by an officer responding to a report of an altercation outside a building. Stephen Garcia ran away from the officer and tried to hide in an alley, according to the incident report. When the officer caught up with him, he turned toward the officer "in a threatening manner."The report says the officer "immediately engaged his baton" but did not use it. The report also says Stephen Garcia was trying to zip up his pants and fix his belt. The officer smelled alcohol and said the subject was unsteady on his feet."
2)COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina's highly touted quarterback recruit Stephen Garcia has been arrested again -- this time on a charge of malicious injury to personal property.
Garcia was arrested about noon Saturday after a visiting professor reported that Garcia had used a key to scratch the man's car parked near the university, Columbia police spokeswoman Sgt. Florence McCants said. According to an arrest warrant, Adam Biggs told police he saw a man using a metal key to scratch the side of Biggs' car. Biggs, a Claflin professor who is teaching at South Carolina this semester, said his 2007 Toyota Corolla was parked on the side of a street near campus. Biggs confronted the man and asked his name.
According to a police report, the man identified himself as Stephen Garcia. When Biggs threatened to call police, the man offered to pay $500 for the damage to the car, according to the police report. When police contacted Garcia, "the suspect stated to the officers he was aware of the allegation, but denied causing any damage" to Biggs' car.
Both players instances were really just young teenagers acting dumb, but are RP's actions that much worse than Garcia's that it could be thought that he wouldn't be kicked off the team as well if he were the QB here?

most of this shite is just penny-ante stuff. and i mean this for all schools. i don't think any school has the market cornered on hijinks. i don't care how good a kid is athletically, if he is just a bad person a smart coach is going to realize he's more of a liability and run him. if not it's going to catch up to him. the majority of the kids that sign with top tier schools go through a serious vetting athletically, academically, and personally. most of these kids were superstars/homecoming kings/most popular etc. they have been under the microscope their whole lives and it shows. they keep their noses clean of major stuff and interact well with the public. when they do get in trouble it's the same kind of shite the rest of us would have done/did do.

I dont think any of us really know what happened with Perriloux. Actually, I dont think any of us really knows what happens with any of these athletes. Its cute that you downplay the RP incidents, though, texastiger6777

I am not familiar with this which you speak of. Would not be surprised, but haven't heard of this.

my thing is that most of it is hearsay. I watched the video of the fight at the Chimes and I really couldn't make out RP or anyone else for that matter, so I based most of my judgement off of people who claim to have been at the scene. The counterfiet thing sounded bad from day one. Just moron bad though. Not i'm gonna key someones car bad. And Kona Grill, same as above. No real facts to the case.
I'm not trying to justify what RP did and the crimes that he may have committed, I am just stating that he may have been arrested (counterfiet thing) once. Garcia has been arrested twice. Is it that much of a stretch to think that Garcia would also be gone after the repeated violations??

Do you have any kind of link or source to back that up? just wondering. I had heard some rumblings around the time that he was dismissed but not about being drunk at workouts. I did hear about the other that you speak of. Just wondering how much truth there was to it.

Keying a car is a "piece of shite" thing to do, But underage drinking and public drunkeness are not that big of a deal...Over 250 MIP's are given out on LSU game days and over 100 students are not let in the game through the student section b/c of being "too intoxicated." Also you mean to tell me you've never been drunk in public underage? Be careful to pass judgement.
