Yep - and as we both said, a large chunk of that period both our teams stunk. That assessment has nothing to do with Alabama or LSU and everything to do with the state of the league and CFB. That was the end of the SEC being a truly southern league that cared about itself in general more than anything at a national level.

One thing with 1-7 means only 8 conf games and 4 OOC. With conf going to 16 teams and eventually I think Big 10 goes 16 - will it be harder to find good OOC games?
4 games x 16 teams is 64 games (teams) to find. Less and less teams will want to play as the conf gets stronger. Only so many popcorn state teams willing to play per year.
