"head coach Steve Bieser is expected to return to Columbia for a seventh season. The Tigers finished the 2022 season with a 28-23 overall record and 10 wins in the #SEC."

I have no dislike of Bieser, but, isn't this typical? I'm tired of Mizzou ADs being satisfied with half-assed results.

Are we in the fricking SEC or not?

How 'bout demanding excellence?

Someone on the rant posted some graphic a few days ago about win/loss percentage across the whole Athletics Department per SEC school.

We were in last place behind Vandy with I want to say a 31% winning percentage. That is absolutely pathetic and people need to be held accountable.

you are 100% correct lets look at sports in SEC
-Football up and down but mid tier
-Men's BBall-Pathetic
-Women's BBall=Pathetic
-Baseball-Pathetic
-Softball does good
-Men's Track-pathetic
-Women's Track-pathetic
Gymnastics-Good
Swimmong and Diving-Pretty good on the up swing
Tennis-Pathetic
Golf-Pathetic

Non SEC
-Wrestling-Great

to me the biggest alarms here are the sports with Zero excuse sitting in Missouri, those are baseball and the basketball teams. Seriously with the talent pool in this state these programs need to be gutted. Men's Bball hopefully is in that process.

Nothing against Bieser either, but if he was going to gain traction he would have done so by a seventh season.
Best way to compete against the SEC would be to hire a pitcher whisperer, either as HC or PC. Good recruits will come when they see a coach can keep their arm from falling off and get them to the majors.
