ABC just announced that the game will be at 3:30est on ABC at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
They went with ND/Ohio State at 7:30est
I get that those two will be a higher ranked total matchup and might have slightly larger fan bases, but UGA won the national championship last year and playing in ATL

Prefer 3:30 anyway, while espn trolls the nation with fat, slow midwestern teams that look like they are playing in mud.

3:30 start time is where it’s at. My ideal start time early in the season is 5:30 so it will start cooling off towards the end of the game, but it’s indoors, so that doesn’t matter.
Sleep in, eat and drink, watch the Dawgs, eat and drink again. Sounds good to me.

Im pretty sure they changed opening day to a sunrise start, not the traditional noon start. Should be plenty of time to get peppered on the public field.

Ohio State has a large national following and no one outdraws Notre Dame with 100 million Catholics in this country. Easy to see why they are the night game.
If Georgia were playing Notre Dame at MB stadium, that would be the night game.

Yeah they changed it last year. Trying to decide which one of my dads farms I’m going to bait up. Ive narrowed it down to 3. Thing is all of our fields have traditionally gotten hot around 3-5 pm over the last 20-30 years. I have listened to many a Georgia game on a radio in a dove field but that was the 90s and early 2000s when we mostly opened against directional schools.

I'm going to be optimistic and take the over, reserving my right to change my mind up until shoe meets leather.
Also it's important to distinguish between basic disappointment like "Well, that drive sucked" from actual turd smearing like "I can't believe we still don't have an answer at QB!"

12 minutes of real time in a football game isn't much time at all. If we get the ball first, I could see a shite-smear coming in under 12 minutes at the first incomplete pass or blown OL assignment.
