Think about this....a Texas or OU fan has not had the opportunity to go to a road game at a conference opponent's campus with a stadium larger than roughly 60k seats since aTm left in 2012. They haven't hosted a conference opponent with a post-segregation national title since Nebraska and Colorado left in 2011.

I don't know how two proud fan bases of blue blood programs ever put up with that level of demotion for over a decade. It would be like if Alabama and Tennessee were stuck in the old Big East after Miami and VaTech left.

They may get their asses whipped more than they are used to, but it will be a hell of a lot more fun. I'm actually happy for them. The average fan had nothing to do with all the politics that led to the shite they ended up in.

We'll see how happy you are after you've heard Boomer Sooner a million times. OU literally plays it after every Fn play.

May be true, but DeLoss Dodds poisoned the well when we left, and there were plenty of fans cheering him on.

Most actual Texas alum that I know are good people, but I wouldn’t walk across the street to piss on Dodds if he was on fire.

Two of the worst fanbases of all time. You idiots asked for it, and I will sit back and laugh when the WTF threads start rolling in 2025

I've been to a half dozen games at Neyland. I'll be fine.

As if aTm never provided us with a WTF thread? Hell, the WTF stuff is what makes college football fun. The less corporate or NFL-like we can keep it the better.

Hey Colorado, still butt hurt from 77-0 and 27-25 aren’t you? Case McCoy didn’t know how much aggy hurt he was inflicting.

I don't know many Texas fans but I feel like I could probably relate to many of them. I went through 2 decades of shite Alabama football pre-Saban all because a group of about 10 boosters wanted to use the program as their personal dick measuring stick instead of using their money to actually help the program.

No. I've just met many douchebags in my life and most of them were t-shirt fans in Austin and the meth heads from Oklahoma. Most actual graduates of Texas aren't that bad, so I will assume you aren't one of them

Yes I what you said is the truth the entire fan base and AD were sick of not having good home schedules with traditional powers. OU has always wanting ganes that matter and when Nebraska fell off the cliff and Colorado did as well this was always the hope to get better teams to play against l. There was some thought of being independent but not having a championship games hurt ND a wasn’t appealing enough.

No one like row games more than players and it’s easier to recruit people when you say your going to be the l playing. Bama UGA Florida LSU Arky Auburn A@M Tenn for road games I know there are other big stadiums and teams but you get the point .

Texas Aggies have a much worse fan base because you dolts act like you’ve won something when you only ride the coattails of others. Win something before you talk crap. Your fan base sways back and forth, and gets all moist when the male yell leaders cackle.

Oklahoma > Aggy

Mississippi State (cowbells) and Mizzou (boring) will be rather bland road games. Outside of that, even the non-premier road games have their perks. Vandy is a shite game but you at least get to visit Nashville. Ole Miss has tailgating on the grove and cool bars on the Square. UK has a beautiful campus and horse races at Keeneland. South Carolina doesn't have much tradition, but has an awesome stadium and fun atmosphere. Same for Arkansas. Then you have 7 other premier road games at the mega-stadiums.

It's a night and day difference and culturally you guys will fit in just fine. I'm not worried about Texas politics trying to dominate the conference. They took their slice of humble pie by begging to join the SEC without anyone kissing their arse to do it.

I should add I've never seen a redeeming thing come out of the state of Oklahoma. Not one.

Looking forward to some great road games......mainly due to not being the same old ones we see every year with the round robin...playing the same 9 teams year after year after year. Gets old, especially when they know your schemes tendencies and signals....

The Cotton Bowl with about 95,000 gives us a great game each year but that is due tothe crowd being 50/50 and xtremelyhayed opponent....
