Different bats and balls (literally) from the 2012 season so luckily that helps.
Honestly our bat talent is as good if not better than 2018. We don't have a Kjerstad, but now that Webb has shown his pop and Gregory still had something like a 480 OBP, top to bottom this lineup is probably scarier at its peak than 2018.
All that said, Bill Parcells is forever correct in that "you are what your record is" so if we don't score as many runs, they're not as good at the plate. I think if they get it together at the end of the season this will be fun.
Or they could all slump and wet get bombed out of our regional like 2007. But I see the signs that we could be scary with the sticks soon. Just need something super weird and encouraging to happen. Like a very, very small meteor hitting the duck pond one game that we come back to win. Rally meteor could do wonders for this team.

I feel the bats haven't peaked this year unlike last year where they did during the regular season but had a slump in the super regional.
