OT - Foodie picks for out of town friend

I have a friend driving to Clay County from Oklahoma and willing to take any of the 3 routes in. (Springdale, just north of LR and right in between. 1 day business trip.
Asked me if there's any good food spots worth hitting up.
I'm kind of a stoner who avoids humans. Anyone have any pix? Kindly appreciate it.

7 hrs for a one day trip???
Lots of places in LR... Los Palmas in NLR/Sherwood wouldn't be out of the way. Best Mexican food I had in Central Arkansas
Fort Fresh would be a bit out of the way. Catfish Hole in Alma would be a good stop.
Larry's pizza in Cabot would be an easy stop as it looks like he's headed up 67/167.

If he likes BBQ, then he could hit the Mean Pig in Cabot. If he's a real man then he'll try the shut up sauce.
Also, if he's going up 67/167 then KJ's in Judsonia has great lunches.
There's a little dive looking restaurant in Newport that has great Tamales. Can't remember it's name.

Mean Pig would certainly be worth the stop... Seems like I remember them not being open on Mondays

If we are going to Sherwood then Shotgun Dan's Pizza is a no-brainer.
