I agree and the most important part is COACHING

He will have a much better offense than WW ran a street ball pick offense.

If he gets KJ Williams that could be 3 starters from a 31-3 team, as they know how to play together and they know his system.

I played in a class B school and we had 4 white dudes and a black point guard. Our center was 6'2" and we were 5'11 and 6'1" (me) at forwards and 5'10" and 5'8" guards. We beat the snot out of A, AA, AAA and even played 4A and 5A teams who had 6'7, 6'5, 6'4", 6'2" and 5'10" starting lineups and we would hold our own and keep games to 5 points and sometimes win them.

What LSU could have as starters with experience in a system, with a proper, disciplined offense could look like:

Juice Hill 6'
Hannibal 6'2"
KJ Williams 6'10"
Kendal Coleman 6'8"
Fudge 6'8" (lets say he stays at LSU)

If that team plays well and runs the system they have been running, then LSU will beat a lot more teams than these doom and gloom ranters think.

WHat if LSU gets a 4th player from Murray in Burns at 6'7", then they could have almost their whole 31-3 team, with maybe the Belmont transfer, plus 3-4 LSU guys who might be back after checking out the portal. Sprinkle Cornelious Williams and a few more high school recruits, then we actually have a decent team considering the unknowns of sanctions.

Coaching! Sure, 4-5 star talent mostly prevails but a decent TEAM with good COACHING equalizes the outcome of games.

It's absolutely possible that LSU pieces together a decent roster next year that wins 16-18 games and maybe even makes the NCAA Tournament if things fall right (if they are eligible). It's not probable, but it's far from impossible.

Just look at what Otzelberger did at Iowa State this year. Heck, look at what Wade did at LSU his 1st year.

If LSU brings in 3 of the Murray guys, adds another high level transfer piece and then fills in around them with less athletic but solid basketball players from the lowest levels of D1 (just look at the portal there are tons of them from places like Hartford, Alabama A&M, etc), they could be a solid team. Depth will be an issue and they'll get outclassed some nights, but they won't be a dumpster fire.

The issue that McMahon will run into is depth. It's gonna be hard to recruit transfers to come in and ride the bench on a complete rebuild. If he gets KJ Williams on board, they could end up a with a really solid starting 5 and maybe 1 or 2 bench guys.
