Where will you go for vacation this year?
For me:
-Panama City, as is tradition for 30 years running with my family.
Great food, great Shops, and hours upon hours on the Ocean.
-Six Flags Atlanta
Ride after ride is awesome, and it is buried in a forest within a City surrounded by waterfalls and flowers.
-Helen, GA
German Bread, Mutton, hand-made Candy and a 6-mile trip down the cool waters of the Chattahoochee...with a trolley to pick up your float and take you back up to the town, for $8 per person.
Yours?

I am making a cross state move soon so my vacation will be leaving Eastern Arkansas for NW Arkansas. Marion isn't the worst place in the state but I assure you it will feel like a vacation to move up to Rogers.

In Breckenridge Colorado currently. Great skiing and neat little town.
Usually hit the beach a couple weeks a year too. It’s gotten harder with a toddler at the beach though.

My go to is going to Puerto Rico when JetBlue does $200 round trips from Houston, been a few times, PR pretty safe too and most people there speak English, cheap food, nice beaches , waterfalls and bar life

Backpacked to reflection canyon Utah in January, going to Brazil 4/15-4/30, I also have won a Mount Whitney California permit for August. Not sure about the end of the year. I usually take trips quarterly.

Any area in particular or are you hitting a few different spots?

I’m in Gatlinburg right now. Just barely dodged wild brush fire.
Im interested in going to Savannah Georgia. Any recs?
When is the best time to go? I’m interested in either optimal scenery as the tree leaves change colors in the fall. Or maybe 4th of July weekend during beach season.
Any locals around?

Going out of my way to Iguazú to start, then trekking Chapada Diamontina for 6 days. Rest either SP or Rio.

How you gonna buy me Shake Shack? And congrats. I’m sure you’ll enjoy NWA.
Little Red River in 2 weeks with college friends.
MO Ozarks in July with my family.
Orange Beach or Perdido in August with her family.
Mystery locale for 5 year anniversary/real honeymoon in October.
Pretty basic bitch vacationing. Having small children doesn’t lend itself well to traveling to exotic locations. It’s all road-trips until they’re old enough to get around on their own and then some.

This is the 49th year my family has gone to the same place. It's aways a good time.

Please. Once I get everything situated I'll probably offer you a hotel room and a dinner at Herman's Ribhouse. Or, if you prefer to go more SEC pride, breakfast at the Waffle House on Dickson St. the next time Ole Miss comes to Fayetteville.

I live in Florida. My kids have grown, moved out, have kids of their own etc and don't live near me(I just moved to Florida a few years ago).
So rather than take a vacation ourselves, we like to pay for the kids and grandkids to come take a vacation with us for a week or so. Take the grandkids to the beach, local aquariums and other type things - usually depending on the age of the grandkids visiting.
Win-win for us. They all love coming to Florida because it's a popular vacation spot anyway, and we get to do those things also in addition to spending time with them.
Also it's a lot cheaper. Since they stay with us, there aren't a ton of expenses. Not paying for a week of motel/hotel use. No need to rent a car if flying. Not having to eat out every single night because we can cook great meals at home for them etc.
Which means we can bring more kids to visit each year which is like multiple weeks of vacation.
