Very Strange. TAM must have opened the bag for her? She never got past the 2nd round for us, so not sure if she was encouraged to leave or what.

Thats what i read into it. Wish her the best but our womens program needed an established winner.

Now that we are past Landers, maybe that person will come now.

I think A&M got who they wanted.
I think it is a step up for Joni.
She has everything you want in a coach.

That said, there is a chance for us to improve results. This is an opportunity for our AD.

Short of a national title, our program has historically been better than all but Uconn, UTenn, Stanford, and maybe 1-2 others.

We were a dominate force in the sport until Landers later career.

Just so happened we were at the top of the game in the 90s but Geno and Pat were just a hair better.

She was a lazy arse hire by a weak AD.

Evidently A&M has a national title and has been better than us the past 20 years. Their "andy landers" just retired (30 yr coach).

Everything about Joni i liked.
You can call it a lazy hire. She was a young, promising coach who was good with the team, recruits, and Xs Os. She never proved to be great (in Athens). But i wouldnt be shocked if she does better elsewhere. She has everything you look for.

Im guessing that you expect some big money splash hire from Brooks? That could be the only inference when you see a coach leave for a better gig and you claim she was the lazy promotion.

If you’ve never won a National Championship, you can’t consider yourself a top 5-10 program of all time.

Our gymnastics program hasn’t recovered since Yoculan retired. I haven’t noticed any significant improvement in that program in years!

because mcgarity decided the best coach in america to take over the alabama-football of the gymnastics world was someone whose only coaching experience was in a youth gym. But hey they were good here so that's all that mattered. Guy was a fricking moron.

Maybe he was, but he isn't anymore. Has LSU gymnastics rolling right now.

Only reason I knew this was because I read Emerson's article on Josh Brooks the other day and Emerson gave a probable cause for Clarks failure. Not only following tGoat but apparently gymnastics recruiting starts at birth and was maybe dismissed a couple of years early.

Ok, that's not how I interpreted what you wrote.
