I don't recall a more frustrating game to watch honestly.

No. But we named our court after him.

Pitiful. Laid an egg big time on the offense but defense was great.

I was being an a-hole. The guy had a history that fed some of his anger.

Hard for us today to relate o what he faced when he grew up.

He was a great coach, but huge chip on his shoulder, really needed some mental help. i didn’t understand it all until watched 30 for 30 on him.

His daughter also died of leukemia as he was coming into prominence as a basketball coach. He has had his fair share of bad beats in life.

Black head coaches weren't really a thing in 1985 when we hired Nolan. He definitely overcame a lot.

It was a combination of a hard life in the past and his feud with Frank Broyles. Then he melted on TV which nuked the basketball program and sued the school during the following summer.

I never had anything against him but when he was fired, Arkansas basketball was lost and kept chasing his ghost. Arkansas kept dreaming of the Nolan years that never came with Mike Anderson. A lot self inflicted mistakes that shouldn't have killed the momentum.

Personally I wanted an Eddie Sutton type of coach when Nolan left, it took us this long to get him.
