The Libertarian party can't get off the ground because you can't have a charismatic leader without a doctrine to preach. Personal Liberty scares the hell out of people when you get right down to it.

Libertarian had never been a serious challenger… at least not to date. They’re too confused on their philosophy.

The LP went to shite when Gary Johnson exponentially increased the membership of the party with people who don't follow libertarian ideals at all.

Gary introduced the idea that you can be libertarian, without supporting the pillars of libertarianism, like for example, freedom of association, a first generation extremely vital liberty, which this fricking moron seems to think it's not neccesary.

Add all the leftists who want ''libertarian socialism'', and you have the piece of shite party that is nowadays, with the last candidate supporting a fricking marxist organization to sway voters, then backpedaling when seeing that actual libertarians didn't liked it.

The LP is a pathetic party that sell out before even actually winning strength, and most of the people there are either discontent idiots or just straight out socialist posing as libertarians.

They are disgusting to me, an actual libertarian.

The problem was Ron Paul was both the most sane guy in the party, and everyone else was there because it was the largest party that was pro-pot.

I probably align closer to libertarian than republican; that said, Libertarian leaders get no traction from trying to play both sides.

Unfortunately, any libertarian candidate that is serious about winning ends up joining a major party, where they eventually have to pay political service to stay in the game. There's just too much momentum in the machine for a legit Libertarian party to make any progress.

Just like every other area of political uselessness and corruption, Trump didn't cause it, he just exposed them. Liberrarian Party is a bunch of feckless, drugged up turds.
