That last 2 teams with defensive WAR as bad as theirs that added 2 guys with terrible defensive WAR were 2 of the Tigers teams in the early 2010s. Their GM was..........Dave Dombrowski.

He has assembled some quality teams in his career, but I just don't understand how anyone can devalue defense to that extent in modern, analytically guided baseball. If you add 50 more runs to your lineup while also allowing another 45 to score you haven't accomplished anything.
