People are apathetic about the current state of the basketball program. At Florida, the expectation for our basketball program has been tournament runs/ sweet 16 appearances. Unlike Arky, we’ve been to 5 final fours over the last 2 decades and a couple natties so the fanbase doesn’t give a shite about mediocre results of the last few years and a win over Auburn won’t change that. People know this team sucked regardless and change is needed.

Here’s the reality and the old UF fans don’t like to admit it though it’s a a positive in general: UF is a nerd school like Vandy.
The current UF fans don’t care about athletics. UF is a huge school with generally good athletics yet their tan support is pathetic. Unless their team is top 10, their Support is very bad including football for a school that size in the SEC.

So basically you're Arkansas after Nolan Richardson. Except Arkansas still managed to be top 10-15 in the country in attendance, even in the down years. Florida couldn't crack the top 30 in attendance while winning back-to-back national championships...
