Is this new or has this been his role for a while? I know little about what this role might entail, but he sure brings the hype and recruits seem to love him...could be a great fit to keep him on in this capacity but not as a coach.

Pretty sure he was already in that role. Could be wrong though.

Not sure what his title was before but he supposedly got a promotion after the last recruiting cycle.
Also interesting, compare his title with Uscher's.

his former title was coordinator, player relations. I believe this is a promoting and given more responsibilities/say in recruiting.
Urscher's title is Director of Recruiting, so I would think he would be over recruiting as a whole but this is probably giving Trovon more say and more $$$

Our staff turnover is so bad that Auburn is now releasing “staying home” graphics letting people know who still works for Auburn football.

Trovon just posted on Instagram clarifying it was a contract extension. Apparently a lot of off-field staffers had expiring contracts.

Relations - I'm thinking it's a Cyrano situation. Head coach comes to the recruit's home to seal the deal, and T. Reed is in Harsin's ear telling him what to say.

I can't find it now but there was a recent tweet similar to this Trovon Reed one with Uscher, and his title had changed. Something like Director of Scouting and Transfer Portal Management. Anyway, it didn't say Director of Recruiting which made me wonder.

Transfer portal is definitely giving more opps for guys.

Yeah I think it's great to reinforce who the staff is with this stuff, but the "staying on the plains" thing is stupid and makes us seem desperate
