Anyone watching? Looks like we're blanking Oklahoma...who has pitched so far - how did they look?

It’s on that stupid flo tv crap so I’m not watching. Currently 0-0. OU has 2 hits and we have 1.
Based off the thread on the rant it sounds like OU has stranded a lot of runners so we’ve gotta step things up on offense.

We’re going to be worse than last year. Butch’s seat probably won’t get warm anytime soon because I don’t think anyone believes we invest enough into baseball to be a contender.

Our top 20 players are pretty good but lacking great players. Our back end 15 are not that good in comparison the the SEC. I think Thompson does a good job. I wish he got that Title XI softball money, a sport no one gives a shite about. The whole college athletics system is screwed.

Bats are going to be behind but we should be a decent offensive team throughout the season. Pitching and finding your top 3 guys early is important and who will be your middle and late relievers.
These games count this weekend and OU was the toss up game. Losing it and we will probably go 1-2 on the weekend which is ok early.
As far as Butch hotseat I don't see it. We signed a decent class this past year with recruits and transfers. We also are in early on some really talented players for this upcoming class. Yes I know we are picked last in the west this year but even last in the west is a bubble tourney team. Need to steal wins and some series and we might be a decent team.

As good of a pitching coach that Butch is I'm not sure why we can't keep some of the elite pitching in the state. if we could just get half of the top 6 pitchers each year in state we could compete for championships.
Hopefully NIL makes it much more attractive to come to AU.
But as I've stated before being a high school coach in the state I will never say negative things about any of the college coaches in the region. I put to many kids on college teams from D1 to community colleges.
