It’s amusing how much everyone here is obsessed with LSU fans being obsessed with the greatest football player to ever come from LSU.

Once again, I dont think anyone is jumping on lsu fans rooting for Joe. I think we can all agree with you that he is an awesome QB.
What most of us are LOL is the fact that lsu fans jumped on the sidewalk Bengals fans and cried when the Bengals lost and acted like someone assaulted their mom.
It was very comical last night and this AM.

How about this- most people in La are both LSU and Saints fans; I am. Most people I know are. Sure, there are outliers on both fronts, but we're talking overall.
The Saints are out, so the majority of La is left without a team in the hunt. Cowboys out, so there goes the North La crowd.
So, you're in a generally disinterested mode, looking for something to get interested in.
Bengals- beloved LSU QB, record-setting LSU WR, a couple more guys from the 2019 LSU team (Shelvin and Moss), to go along with the feel-good Cinderella story.
Rams- still a big frick YOU from the 2018 playoffs if you're a Saints fan, mildly offset by Odell Beckham (who's kinda become a weird diva) and Andrew Whitworth (hall of famer to be) as LSU connections. Both those guys, as well as Stafford at QB, coming in as hired guns to win this year, as opposed to any long-term Rams connection.
Rams winning wasn't a feel-good story, it was a corporate success for the NFL (they want to bring LA and SoCal back into the fold).
I didn't melt about the game, it went about the way I figured/feared it would... Burrow getting buried by the Rams D Line. Stayed in front longer than I expected.

See, that is the thing, we are OK with that. We pull for our players but don't get attached to them like you guys put Bureaux and other players on a pedestal like you guys have done. You guys get so butt hurt when something or someone says about your players or ex players that its almost comical. That's why everyone is laughing at LSU fans right now.
