Dear Diary,
The only food I dislike more than Cajun food is Indian food.
And I’m a big time foodie.
I fully recognize I’m in the minority—and I’m not insulting anyone!
Many Texans, in fact, enjoy Cajun cuisine.
It’s just not my jam.
I try. And I try. And I try.
Doesn’t matter where I eat it or who makes it.
I find all of it to taste like brown slop.
Go easy on me.

Cajun food ruined my relationship with an ex girlfriend. I hated cajun food and assumed she also would, so to keep her from wanting me to cook I ordered some take out and told her I made it. To my surprise, she loved the shite. She loved it so much she started trying to make her own in our kitchen. That didnt last long.

What have you tried? Chicken and sausage gumbo? Seafood gumbo? Crawfish etoufee?
If it's got tomato in it, it's not cajun.
