who would you say is being untruthful, Jimbo or the Aggie fans?

I would say Jimbo knows he is just as dirty as everyone else and vise versa. Which is why he’s pissed at the hypocrisy of it all. I think he’s being mildly untruthful, because the figure isn’t 30 million but it’s definitely in the millions. He may or may not know how much this class costed the boosters. He may not want to know.

I would say less than 1% of Aggie posters know what the actual frick they’re talking about. None of us really know what goes on behind the scenes. I do know that as a collective the Aggie network has a lot of horsepower to make things happen quickly and they are thirsty as frick for a championship. The whole NIL thing busted the can of worms wide open and a lot of rich Aggie boosters have been licking their chops waiting for a moment like this.

Cliff notes: who the frick actually knows?

Edit: Jimbo learned to recruit from Saban. He learned from Bobby Bowden. He knows how the sausage is made and it ain’t pretty. I think he went to A&M and saw that it was amateur hour. Probably brought us up to a competitive level but not outright breaking the rules. We had some top 10, top 5 classes. Then NIL came along and he realized he had struck gold being at one of the richest universities when NIL was legalized. Then all of a sudden this “bend the rules but don’t break them” shite is out the window and it’s open season with an unlimited checkbook. Probably just point out the recruit you want and the boosters pay the man.
