This is a tough question. This year in football it was pretty obvious which two teams would play for the title, though Bama wasn't the usual Bama. The best recruiting and very good coaching staffs put them there. Everyone else was on the outside looking in. But football is difficult because if you lose more than one game you'll be out of the playoff picture most likely.

In basketball a cinderella has a shot and many better teams are knocked out of the dance each year by groups of guys who have played together for a few years. Due to player turnover the dynasty days of basketball are over.

For most teams a football natty would be more impressive, IMO, because only a small handful of teams have even a remote shot at it.......at this time..

Just my two cents worth.

While great to watch, a 64 team single elimination tournament is a terrible way to decide a champion of a season.
So its easier for a “undeserving” team to win but much harder to maintain success
If CBB wants a more legit champ. it needs to be something like a 8-16 team tourney with playing best of 2 of 3
