Ah. ESPN must not have updated theirs after the playoffs because they have Bryce higher than Stet still.

And again, I think Stetson is a UGA legend. I just don’t know why we have to created a made up narrative to prove our point.

People saying Bama had to pass more because they couldn’t run… well yes, generally speaking, when teams are focused on the run, it’s going to open up the pass more. Stetson took advantage of that. And on the other side, his stats would absolutely look better if he was passing the ball 40 times a game, but they wouldn’t look like Bryce Young’s stats. And that’s ok! Yes, Bryce had one first round receiver in Williams, but Stet also had one in Brock. It’s not like our pass catchers are a bunch of scrubs (and yes, I know they got much better as the season went along but still)

I just feel like it’s ok to say that Bryce is a better QB than Stetson, but man am I glad that Stetson was our quarterback this season. Absolute legend.

Absolutely- it's the cvntiness we're pointing out here.... to say "we" are saying Stet is better than Brice is a fake argument, nobody is arguing that. We are comparing stats to say "Stet isn't as shitty as the cvnts act like he is" and then show stats to back it up, with Brice as context, then the cnts say "how dare you compare to Young!"

See?

Really? I saiw it an hour or so ago and they had bennet higher.

They have Bennett with a 176.7
and Young with 167.5

Maybe they updated it after you looked?

Agreed. His QBR and comp % would both probably be lower. His TDs and Yards would go up. Would he catch Young in those categories? Who knows. I doubt it. Defenses wouldn't be respecting the run game as much and would be putting more emphasis on our passing game.

There shouldn't be any doubt or argument about this. You are right.

I think some just feel like Bennett would have had stats much closer to Young's and the narrative would have been different.

People should also realize though, that the more Stet threw the ball the more INTs he would have. He seemed to get more confident/careless the more he threw. Confidence is a great thing for a QB. Overconfidence is terrible.

Any time we play "what ifs" we have to figure in all kinds of factors. Stats do not change in a vacuum. One thing affects another and another and another etc.
