Georgia is tied with Tennessee as the second best SEC football program (historically).

Not too long ago, Tenn was considered the undisputed #2 team in SEC football history, but...
Georgia: 853 total wins, 13 SEC championships, 2 wire poll national championships, 2 Heisman Trophy winners.
Tennessee: 856 total wins, 13 SEC championships, 2 wire poll national championships, 0 Heisman Trophy winners.
One would have to seriously argue that 2 more Heisman Trophies far outweighs 3 additional total wins. So they may have surpassed Tennessee.

Most Tennessee fans have shifted to cheering to secondary sports. We are starting to understand what it’s like to be an Arkansas fan.
Swimming and diving teams seem to be doing well.

Yeah let’s just ignore LSU’s 4 titles and 12 SEC championships with the undisputed #1 team in their own division…

40 fewer total wins than Georgia, and if we want to be technical, it’s only 3.5 national titles.

Circa 2000, never in my wildest dreams did I think we would catch Tennessee in head to head or SEC titles in my lifetime. Total victories was completely out of the question.

I can do the math on an Excel spreadsheet, but I don’t want to fire up my computer right now. Out of curiosity, does anyone know off the top of their head what the totals wins for Tennessee and Georgia were, circa 2000?

You’re right, UGA and Tennessee would rather their accomplishments instead of LSU’s.

I think we were about 40- 50 behind but not sure

3.5 national titles? LOL at any fool buying into the 2003 USC AP trophy as a NC.
LSU was the only NC that season. Be smart enough to not buy what the lib media spews out.

At a 40 game differential in the total wins column, that comes out to 2.67 undefeated seasons in the current 15 game season era. More than enough to make up for LSU’s lead in that column.

Vols not only have a losing record to us all-time but they've only beaten us 9 times since integration in 1970.
And went a combined 3-11 against Zook, Muschamp, McElwain, and Mullen UF teams.
