Joe Brady just becomes more underwhelming as the days pass. He doesn't recruit, didn't call plays at LSU, had what looks to be a generational talent at QB propping him up at LSU, and got fired 1.5 seasons into being an NFL OC.

He and Rhule also put their heads together and decided that Sam Darnold was worth multiple valuable draft picks even after spending a week with Mac at the Senior Bowl. He may or may not possess a strong football mind (I don't believe for a second that Steve Ensminger installed all of the play designs and formations they used in 2019), but for now he's looking like Kiffin did 15 years ago. Credited with too much too soon and it led to him getting a job he wasn't yet qualified for. Now the question is whether he gets a couple more of them.

For those still questioning if there is or is not an NCAA investigation going on in Knoxville, if it's as bad as UT has alleged it is, there would be much more info leaking out and UT would be self-imposing penalties to try and lessen the blow. The fact that the investigation has become as quiet as a tomb, and no Notice of Allegations has been received would imply that UT is either about to get hammered for their lack of self imposed penalties or there's not as much to the violations as they would have people believe. The only thing that would give me cause for concern is the fact that Pruitt is still unemployed and has not received any interest from anyone. That is certainly concerning.

He would do well in the college game again I bet - he just isn't seasoned and his offense isn't complex enough to succeed in the NFL like he did at LSU.
The NFL defenses are just far, far superior than most college defenses and you have to be very unpredictable to confuse them. You need more motions, double moves, rub routes, rpos, and pre snap eye candy to succeed. Sure, NFL offenses also require talent to rise up and beat their man - but that is because despite all the above, it is really hard to scheme people wide open.
But if you don't have a complex enough offense and the defense knows what to expect, you can't even get out of the blocks - this was Brady's issue from what I have read and seen. In college, he gets away with it as you only need to incorporate a few of those things to start confusing defenses.

didn't call plays at LSU,
I don’t believe that at all. I know that’s what LSU fans love to say but it’s BS. Ens was awful before him and awful after him.
