He’s coming in as LB coach and not a DC. So I’m alright with that. We needed a decent hire in that spot with Sumrall leaving.

Maybe he stopped drinking. That would help. No questioning his lineage.

That guy is so bad. Good thing he isn't going to be the DC.

Is he better than Pellini? It says he hasn't position coached LBs since 1991. Yes, I am glad he isn't DC but Sumrall move up to co-DC. Can Mike recruit?

I know OK fans will tell us their thoughts on Mike.

I doubt it. Its quoting an article from Footballscoop.com which might as well be thebleacherreport with a Wikipedia moderation team.

Wikipedia has citations though. So what if I once made it so that Miley Cyrus was a descendant of Genghis Kahn. It's a trustworthy place

Thanks for the history lesson. I thought she descended from Cyrus the Great of Persia and Vlad the Impaler.

The Courier-Journal is also reporting it. So you must be right. I don't believe anything in that rag.

I’m hoping he does a good job at Troy.

God help us if theres two Stoops in Lexington. Would it be Stoopes or Stoopsi?

Then again he's already got his bourbon distillery so maybe the local bar scene won't to too horribly altered.

Obviously OU fans were disappointed in his defenses when he came back from Arizona and Venables was no longer with him.

It was frustrating to have these great offenses and just suck on defense.

The most troubling thing beyond that is that the players said he was mean, hateful and sarcastic. Lots of coaches are mean but apparently with Stoops he would say things that indicated that he had utter contempt and was disgusted with his players. This was on top of his legendary temper. He was kind of like you might expect from a burned out coach with a drinking problem.

He may be in a better place now days and I'm sure he can be a good position coach.

I think he will. I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen more transfers following him to Troy. He was really popular with the players.

As an OU fan I can honestly say that I think he's the worst coach in OU's history. At any position. It's the main reason I can hardly stand Bob Stoops.

I wouldn't want him on campus, much less coaching my team.

He was the DC at Florida Atlantic last year. Did he already get fired from that job too?
