but I think Georgia looked more dominant in their win than Alabama did in ours.

slightly, but if you look at the scores/stats, both teams dominated pretty evenly.

Ya'll should hear what Coaches/players for Georgia are saying... they're confident and they feel like they have the right plan to beat us.

Georgia also most recently soundly defeated a better team, Michigan, than Alabama did, Cincinnati.

Not so sure about that!

Michigan lost to a Michigan State team that is dead last in passing defense. That tells you that even against a team like that, Michigan can't pass the ball all that well. On top of that, UGA defends the run better than anyone outside of 'Bama. Not a good recipe for Michigan, and it's easy to see why Georgia dominated them so handily.

I love that they are favored. Underdog mentality is easy to believe with proof like this. You know Saban just love this.

Crisp,

It's not what they were saying.. it's the tone of the message.. You don't hear Bama saying that. They think the game was a fluke.. few plays here and there.

Exactly. But, sometimes a short memory is a good thing. I just hope Bama has turned the page on everything and we stomp em.

Why were we favored against LSU before 21-0
because in the first game we out played lsu and lost because we missed 5 field goals in a game decided by 3 points. We kicked the shite out of Georgia, it wasn't a contest

It’s true. UGA thinks it more a fluke than a scheme we used to beat their team. We did several things.

Hurry up offense to tire them out- it worked

Made our OL improve to expose their weak secondary- we did.

Forced Bennett to be who he isn’t- we did

Forced turnovers- we did

Started to run the ball with a 70% back after they were tired- we did.

That’s not a fluke, it was scheme and one that could work again. You can’t change your entire team in really 7 days.

What adjustments can the Alabama defense make ? Georgia has a potent offense. The previous game could have been much closer if not for the interceptions and a dropped touchdown by Bowers in the fourth quarter. I'm as much, or more, concerned about their offense as I am their defense.

We can tighten the secondary on 19, make sure we keep the run contained and most importantly keep a lead, even if small. UGA doesn’t play games well like that.

Their offense can be good at times, but it’s a balance they need, just have to keep the game in Bennett’s hands, if he beats us so be it but that was our best shot.

I said yesterday that I believe that they will isolate their best play makers on our corners. If there is a weakness it is the corners. Maybe I'm wrong. Kyree and Kool Aid are talented albeit inexperienced. Our safeties are the real strength of the secondary. No question about it. Hopefully we can get pressure up the middle from guys other than Phidarian Mathis.

I think you’re right. Kool Aid was out of position against the Cincy tall guy and we got lucky, but he hasn’t made a ton of mistakes. He saved our arse against Auburn.

Kyree seems solid but we will see how solid.

They may get a deep shot on us but I wouldn’t think they can sustain multiple shots.

Branch will be a big factor in this game. He's been playing great football recently. Moore almost seems to be a non factor and hopefully that's just because Branch has been lights out. I would love to have both of them available as we'll need all hands on deck.

Also one thing I haven’t seen mentioned that we did in game 1 that we need to replicate again is not to commit stupid penalties and shoot ourselves in the foot.

Branch has been awesome, Battle and Hellams also. Hell even Wright has stepped it up. It’s crazy.

Agreed. Jobe was our most penalized corner and they went after him drawing flags. That's another reason why I believe that they'll attack the secondary. Also, I hope that Bama's offensive line can keep false starts and holding penalties to a minimum.

Hellams is a terrific player and Wright has low key been really good this year. He was a liability last year but he's a veteran and that's big. Battle will be a good professional player. Hopefully he has a great final game before going to the NFL.

I agree, I like how Battle runs back to his position after every play. He is a disciplined player.
